We are looking for Coaches for this upcoming season (2019/2020) for all divisions. You can download the Team Staff application form under the Coaches Corner section.

By submitting an application does not ensure a coaching position, but is greatly appreciated.

As you know Valley East, like all other associations, has some excellent coaches to teach the kids. This year we are going to pick their collective brains and get them to organize a mini Hockey Camp for the first 4 or 5 weeks into the season.

One of the main skills that will be taught, will be the skating stride. Reason being, is that it is a lot easier to teach a child a hockey skill, if that child knows how to stride properly.

They will also teach the child how to give and receive a pass properly, how to hold their stick properly, how to carry a puck while skating. The stronger skating kids will be taught more advanced skills such as edging, dekes, backward skating etc.

Our Volunteer Coaches will be given the proper tools to teach these skills, and your children will be the beneficiaries of their teachings.
